This is a comprehensive consideration of interpersonal communication skills. It covers self-expression, active listening and the management of differences. It provides practical frameworks and tools to help individuals initiate, maintain and develop great relationships. These skill sets are foundational for people managing, leading and relating effectively to others.

Managing Difficult Behaviours

A valuable course for people managers and those who find it hard to deal with others' difficult behaviour. It provides a basis for understanding behaviour, and a framework for managing other difficult behaviour. It teaches how to hold conversations to shift unproductive behaviour, and covers strategies for creating the conditions for more constructive behaviour in the workplace.

Facilitation Skills

This course uses a simple framework to make it easier to facilitate a gathering, programme of work or a community of interest. It centres on having clear purpose and a range of processes for engaging others. The focus in on approaches that maximise engagement, participant ownership and the achievement of outcomes. Most suitable for those who actively lead and manage forums, meetings or groups.

Strategic Facilitation

Offered as a one day intensive, with level 1 Facilitation Skills or equivalent experience as a pre-requisite. The sessions explore how to grow engagement of stakeholders to support commitment to action, and how to manage complex dynamics in group settings.  During the day you will apply the facilitation framework and practice the use of powerful questions. Most suitable for those who often lead and manage forums, meetings or groups.

Influencing Skills

Draws on relevant theory and experience of working up, across and through others. The course covers the skills, and applies a practice framework to support effective and principled influencing of others.  The skill sets covered focus on clarity of intent, enquiry and alignment of approach. The course is fundamental to those leading change or transformation or need others to commit to new ways of doing things.
